Thanks to the wide variety of research projects, the IMSL is an excellent place for research-oriented theses. However, topics for project theses, bachelor’s theses, or master’s theses do not arise solely in connection with our funded or commissioned projects. Exciting topics also frequently emerge in connection with courses and seminars—topics that are just waiting to be explored. Of course, students can also pursue their own topics at the IMSL. We welcome any topic proposals.
A thesis can generally be written either individually or as part of a team with other students. However, due to their complexity, some of the topics listed below may be better suited for individual work or for a team project. Details can be found on the topic pages.
