Following the numereous ongoing research projects, the IMSL is a good place for research oriented theses. Potential topics for Project, Bachelor’s, or Master’s theses do not only arise from our sponsored or commissioned projects. They often develop in the context of our courses and seminars, too. Naturally, the IMSL also accepts topic proposals from studends—we are looking forward to hear your suggestions!
Generally, a student can work on their thesis alone or in a group with other students. However, the following proposals possess varying levels of complexity and are therefore best suited for either solo or team work. Details are provided on the topics’ pages.
Automated testing of complex robotic systems
Unit tests are an established method for quality assurance in the field of software development. By automatically and frequently testing parts of the system, undesired changes in the system's behaviour can be identified and corrected early. For software...
Development of Gazebo plugins to achieve higher realism in simulations
In the development of robotic systems for complex scenarios, e.g., the support of fire and rescue missions through autonomous drones, simulations play a major role. Predictions about the system's performance in varying situations become more accurate...
