The Automation Lab provides space for conducting projects related to automation technology and robotics at IDiAL. The lab is also used as part of the lab sessions for the course “Automation Technology and Robotics.”
Equipment
Crane Experiment
The crane experimental setup allows students to experimentally learn about control using fuzzy control. The experiment is connected to MATLAB/Simulink. Through a competition, multiple groups of students can compare the controllers they have developed.
Maglev System Experiment
The maglev system experimental setup can be used to conduct experiments with various controllers. In addition to analog PID control, the system can also be controlled using digital microcontrollers and via an interface to MATLAB/Simulink.
